This workshop deals with medieval urban growth, a historical moment when construction techniques continued to improve, giving rise to majestic monuments, some of which are still visible in the old town.
The workshop essentially consists of technical manipulations that the students carry out in small groups, such as assembling a model of a frame. These fun manipulations are accompanied by observations and explanations on the architecture of the city's buildings. The guide therefore covers various themes such as: the different professions of builders, surveying, materials and their uses, the art of line and the mechanics of forces, the framework and its assemblies.

Tips and Suggestions
This workshop can be an ideal complement to a guided tour during which students discover the city while answering a short, fun questionnaire and a map (1 for 2). This questionnaire can also be used in class. It does not represent an additional cost and must be requested at the time of booking.
