Welcome to Saint-Baudille-de-la-Tour, north of the Balcons du Dauphiné. Come and discover its church and its Sensitive Natural Area of Luve!
1. Saint-Baudille-de-la-Tour and its heritage

– The Saint-Baudille parish church: built between 1895 and 1898, this church replaces an older building. Designed by architect Ferdinand Bugey, it is distinguished by its unique style and cultural importance.

– The Brotel fortified house (private site): perched on a rocky outcrop, the Brotel fortified house dominates the Val d'Amby. Dating back to 1247, this historic residence was the “eagle’s nest” of Edouard Herriot, former mayor of Lyon. Its architecture, a mixture of medieval and Renaissance styles, testifies to the strategic and historical importance of the site.

– La Ferme des Dames: initially a fortified house with fortifications. Its main building, dating from the 1938th century, was built by the Putrain family, lord of Amblérieu. Over the centuries, the property changed hands, particularly between women from the lordship of Amblérieu, which earned it the name “Ferme des Dames”. We can notably cite Catherine of Paris, the Countess of Quinsonnas (who lost her title of nobility during the Revolution) or the Countess of Virieu. In 1992, the estate was no longer linked to a noble descendant but was bought by a local industrialist. In XNUMX, the municipality became the owner and undertook the restoration and development of the site which today is made up of gîtes and reception rooms.
