Mentioned in 1400, it was one of the main entrances to Crémieu. It was originally preceded by a moat where the Vaux River flowed. Now only the ditches remain. Crows (protruding stones) crown the Chemin de Ronde.
Monumental door in terms of its dimensions. Originally these corbels supported either a hoard – a wooden balcony – or a machicolation. As the crows are very important, this second hypothesis is the one that has prevailed since its 2023 restoration.
