Comptoir des Curiosités

In the heart of the medieval town of Crémieu, the Comptoir des Curiosités brings together local artisans. Decorative objects, jewelry, textiles, ceramics, and photography: unique and original creations to discover or gift, for all budgets.
Located in a typical alleyway in the medieval town of Crémieu, the Comptoir des Curiosités brings together a collective of local artisans and designers. This boutique showcases artistic craftsmanship and handmade items through unique, sustainable, and nature-inspired pieces: basketwork, felted wool, blowtorch beads, ceramics, paintings, photography, textiles, and original jewelry.
Throughout the year, the space evolves with the seasons thanks to temporary exhibitions and guest artists who reside for six-month periods. This collective of artisans is composed of permanent members as well as guests at certain times of the year. The permanent members are:
• Gaëlle (Nakiru Création), sewing
• Myriam (Atelier Nicomy), felted wool
• Jodie (@jodierey.art), illustrator and watercolorist
• Cécile (@la.fleuriste.des.salon), creator of paper flowers
• Mariette (@mcividinoreynaud), photographer
• Fred (@le.rat.a.la.plume), visual artist
• Emmeline (@demoiselleterre), ceramicist
• Fanny (Perles au chalumeau), creator of glass beads made with a torch
Currently, two unique worlds are to be discovered: Sylael's assemblages of forgotten objects, full of poetry, and Champ Libre's creations in dried & local flowers.
A place for strolling and discovery, the Comptoir des Curiosités caters to both passing visitors and locals looking for a gift, a souvenir, or a unique object, carefully and sensitively designed by local artists. It is also a place for showcasing, exchanging ideas, and networking with local artisans.
This associative shop regularly organizes various courses open to the public, with its exhibiting artisans and also with guest artisans: introduction to felted wool with the Nicomy workshop, modeling with the Rat à la Plume, watercolor with Jodie Rey, calligraphy, screen printing... The opportunity to discover ancestral artisanal know-how in a friendly atmosphere and to leave with your own creations and new ideas.
