Au sud-ouest des Balcons du Dauphiné, entre collines et étangs, Panossas se distingue par ses belles teintes rouges, phénomène qui s’explique par la richesse en fer de la pierre calcaire, que l’on retrouve dans les différents éléments architecturaux.
Le village laisse ensuite place à des paysages variés, entre sous-bois et panoramas sur l’Isle-Crémieu, défilant le long de ce parcours de randonnée au relief vallonné.

The Linden Tree of Serre:
This tree stands out for its impressive circumference of over 4,20 meters.
However, there is no evidence that it is classified as one of the lime trees of Sully. Dating from 1650, the lime tree was intended to provide a shady place to gather in the villages. 1- From the car park, turn left and follow the D18. The route follows the GR® markings (white-red).
At the Jubilee Cross, continue straight ahead, leaving the return road on the right. Take the path of
Fuziers. After passing the town hall, continue left at the wash house. Follow the path straight ahead
Coutieu, pass the Charmoncel spring.
Leave the path of dry lawns. Continue on the road then go down the path to the left
from Antouillet, to the “Antouillet” post.
2- Leave the GR®, and continue straight down to the Frontonas path then to the right, the
path from Serre to the Sully lime tree. Follow the wide path on the right which takes us to the post
"Salette".
3- Turn right 3 towards Chozeau.
Arrive at the road and follow it to the left. At the crossroads, follow the road to the left for 600 m, take
on the right the dirt road. Stay on the right. At the "Mont Morel" signpost take the path on the
right towards the Quincieu cross.
Arrive at the track and continue right to the pond. Follow the road that passes the farm of
Quincieu in order to reach the Quincieu cross.
From here, go right to follow the pond, turn left and 125 m further on take the path which
climbs steeply in the woods.
4- At the top, emerge into the field, follow the edge on the left. At the exit of the field, follow the
track on the left to the village.
5- Return to the parking lot on the left. Once at the Jubilee Cross, follow the outward route.
Interpretation trail of the Charamel Sensitive Natural Area (to be discovered in addition to this hike):
Labeled a Sensitive Natural Area since 2004, the peat bog of
Charamel is an important wetland in the Isère department.
A 10,5 km interpretation trail allows you to discover this
ecosystem but also the Marsa pond and its mill. This
very rich biodiversity reservoir shelters 300 species of plants
vascular (promoting, among other things, the transport of water) and 139 species
of birds.
