The historic circuit of Saint-Chef is embellished with 25 explanatory panels to discover the 2 hills, 4 districts and nearly 15 centuries of Saint-Chef history and anecdotes on:
– the Abbey: the origins of the village, the chapter buildings, the abbey church, the baptismal font, the Romanesque frescoes, the Saint-Theudère chapel, the workhouse, the sacristy, the monks' cemetery, the canonical quarter, the sacristan's house,
– the Château district: the pointières,
– the Bourg district: industrial buildings, the old rectory, the Rupéen valley,
– the Chapelle district, the tobacco drying sheds, the earthen architecture, the Dauphiné rammed earth farms, the traditional houses,
– the house of the lord of By.
