Exposition : Portraits pour mémoire au Buisson Partagé
Wednesday, October 14 at 09:00 p.m.
Self-taught artist Claude Furminieux will present a series of drawings dedicated to the women, men and children who have marked the history of human rights.
The Shared Bush is hosting around thirty portraits drawn by Claude Furminieux. Each one gives a face to a person, known or anonymous, who acted, sometimes at the risk of their freedom or their life, for peace, human rights, equality or social justice.
"These women, men, and children acted for humanity's noblest causes, risking their freedom, or even their lives. It is for them, and for this world, that I draw, not to pass the time."
Claude Furminieux
Claude Furminieux uses her passion for drawing, and portraiture in particular, to preserve collective memory. Her work highlights individuals committed to human progress across all continents. She has already exhibited in media libraries, cultural centers, town halls, middle schools, and high schools, notably in the Grenoble area, Bourgoin-Jallieu, Villefontaine, and Lyon, as well as in the Drôme, Ardèche, Auvergne, and Pyrénées-Atlantiques departments.
