Like historians, study the documents to find the key elements and trace the family's journey before, during and after World War II.
The investigation workshop is an activity to be done in groups of 3 to 5 people. Like historians, study the documents to find the key elements and trace the family's journey before, during and after the Second World War.
Upon your arrival in the room, you will be given a folder. It contains several archival documents: identity papers, administrative documents from the period, photographs, testimonies…
Each file is unique. It contains information about a child in the colony and their family.
Come with family or friends and step into the shoes of a research officer at the Maison d'Izieu!
Practical information
Duration: about 2 hour
Recommended age: from 10 years old
Children cannot complete the workshop on their own.
Minimum of one adult per group.
Groups of adults without children are also welcome.
The investigation workshop is perfect for families. Everyone searches through archival documents to find traces of the children of Izieu and their families.
