In addition to the ubiquitous nature and cycling, the heritage of the Balcons du Dauphiné responds present and has nothing to be ashamed of... Far from it!

Its unmissable and unsuspected medieval cities, its beautiful villages which deserve a little detour on the road, its many castles which appear here and there in the middle of the greenery, its archaeological sites witnessing a rich past and its museums which explain to us everything… Needless to say, the program is promising!

And with a guide?

It's possible too! Guided tours (dramatic in costume for some!) and commentary, storytelling walks, gourmet walks, investigations and treasure hunts or even night visits are on the program... All you have to do is reserve your places!

Château life: it's worth it!

We prefer to play fair with you: during your stay at the Balcons du Dauphiné, you will see many castles and fortified houses... from near and far! Indeed, there are a large number of them: all are private (sometimes even inhabited) and only a few are open to visitors (only the exteriors). The Teyssier de Savy castle in Saint-Chef, the new castle in Vertrieu and the Montplaisant castle in Saint-Hilaire-de-Brens welcome you during the summer period… Take out the cameras, you will be amazed!

Archaeological sites

To all lovers of archaeological remains, the Balcons du Dauphiné have something to satisfy you! A vast old rural estate has been unearthed on the limestone plateau of Larina, in Hières-sur-Amby; as well as a Gallo-Roman villa where part of the thermal baths have been restored, a hydraulic mill, a granary and the residence of the estate manager in Saint-Romain-de-Jalionas...
