Brasserie des Balcons : Fabrique de bière et Taproom

Located in Morestel, this educational, family-run and independent microbrewery supports beer drinkers in the development of their palate to allow them to access “beer culture”, particularly through guided tours.

What a wonderful world that of beer is, a world where the field of possibilities is infinite, where everyone can browse and develop their tastes, a world in which so much creative talent works!

Brasserie des Balcons opens its doors to all the curious, the undecided, the intrigued, the amateurs, the connoisseurs, the adventurous… They will find a warm welcome and a friendly place, a taproom with a view of the tanks and the brewer at work, tasting advice, educational materials and of course beers (and more!) to enjoy on tap or to take home in 33cl bottles, 75cl bottles or kegs!

Six beer recipes developed in the fixed range for a wide range of flavors! But also ephemeral beers and collabs (brews made jointly with other brewers) which allow us to explore together the extent of the taste powers of these four seemingly simple ingredients: water, malt ( or other non-malted cereals), hops and yeast.

Headshot

It's the story of a couple, one has been an amateur brewer and passionate since 2015: Vincent. The other likes beautiful stories: Manon. In January 2021, the lifeless birth of their daughter, Mathilde, turned their lives upside down; we must make this event something beautiful, a beautiful story! So let’s brew! Let's mix tastes, let's mix genres, let's mix people, let's mix life*! The Brasserie des Balcons was born. *See this little barley grain also subject to the immutable cycle of life: it is born, it dies (roasted during malting) and it is reborn during brewing – fermentation is the new life of the grain, it gives birth to a literally living drink.
BEERS Taste is an eminently personal sense. We are not designed to "like" all beers! We have therefore chosen to build the six recipes of our core range by seeking to offer a sufficiently broad selection, like "entry points" into the vast world of beer.

Tips and Suggestions

A real tasting area awaits you at the Brasserie des Balcons with support and advice/suggestions to match our beer recipes to your meals. Want to learn more about the beer making process? You are welcome for our guided tours organized on Saturdays! And if you come another day, you will find on site a large glass roof with a view of the brewing room and educational materials to understand everything.

Sustainable tourism

The spent grains (residues from brewing) from the brewery are recycled through processing into aperitif biscuits, or even used as animal feed from local producers.
