The vines in Protected Geographical Indication Isère Balmes Dauphinoises are planted on stony and shallow soils. The soil is worked without weedkiller, which allows it to breathe well.
The plateaus on which the vines are planted allow them sunny exposure all day long.
The vines are grown without insecticides in sustainable agriculture with natural products. Yields are limited to guarantee you the best quality.
The harvests carried out by hand in the traditional way allow us to obtain healthy grapes. During vinification they do not add any yeast for fermentation to maintain the authenticity of the terroir. The wines are aged in vats for 12 months before being bottled on their property. All of these traditional methods combined with their know-how guarantee the quality and typicality of the terroir.
Maison Meunier is part of the Independent Winegrowers which guarantees that each stage of their work is done on their farm. They only use grapes from their farm to make their wines.
The Gamay and Pinot from the 2022 vintage were awarded a silver medal at the Lyon international competition in April 2024.
Family farm for 6 generations. The Meunier estate has 6 hectares of vines in IGP Isère Balmes Dauphinoises.
The farm is HVE certified because the environment, respect for nature and their passion are the values present at each stage of their work.
The harvest is manual and the vinification is done without the addition of yeast to guarantee the authenticity of the terroir.
The range of wines includes: Chardonnay, Pinot, Rosé, Gamay and methode champenoise.
The Meunier family has won numerous medals (agricultural exhibition, silver medal at the Isère competition, gold medal at the Lyon international competition in 2020, etc.).
All wines are sold directly.
