Espace Naturel Sensible Communaux de Trept

Cows, goats and sheep crossed paths on the communal lands until the 1960s. Then cereal cultivation took over the most fertile areas. The others, stony and steep, were won over by brush and woods.
Distance: 3km
Today, the chemin des Pulsatilles allows you to discover a typical landscape where limestone slabs outcrop and stand the Pierre du Bon Dieu and that of the Devil, like strange sentinels, vestiges of the ice age. Berry shrubs and a short flora adapted to a thin layer of arid land flourish there. In the spring, walkers come across lizards, grasshoppers and butterflies, and observe the first lily of the valley, grasses, orchids, ferns, euphorbias and of course the red Pulsatilla, emblem of this ENS, a rare and protected plant, a wild anemone of a beautiful dark garnet.
Solidarity biodiversity:
It is a real mobilization around these Commons which allows the reconquest of biodiversity! Classifying 100 ha, to the west of the village, in ENS, the elected officials involve hunters (construction of warrens, maintenance of trails), naturalists from ADPE and Lo Parvi (scientific monitoring, educational activities), a farmer ( grazing, crushing shrubs), the quarrymen, neighbors of the site, without forgetting the hikers.
Sustainable tourism

In Isère, 17 departmental ENS and 129 local ENS participate in the protection of biodiversity. The Sensitive Natural Areas of Isère make up a remarkable conservatory of local natural diversity linked to altitude, the presence of a watercourse, a forest or other major elements for specific fauna and flora. A mosaic to preserve, enhance, develop.
