Chapelle de Cozance

The foundations of the current chapel can be traced back to the end of the XNUMXth century, as can the arch of the side chapel as well as the stone frame of the door of the chapel of the de La Poype.
Some elements have been preserved from the XNUMXth century, in particular the twin windows with the top of the openwork stone and elegant foliage of an almost flamboyant Gothic style. Unfortunately this building has retained neither its porch nor its original entrance facade.

The stones of the portal and the rose window are from the end of the 19th century with stone moldings and a form of slender arcade which gives the building seen from the front a narrowness which its height increased in the last century further accentuates.

Inside the choir and the chapel of La Poype seem to be from the XNUMXth century like the mortuary slab, certain moldings and arcades.

After several years of abandonment, an association of the town has undertaken the renovation of this place of worship, allowing visitors to discover this atypical chapel
