Château de Montchalin

Beautiful 15th century castle with its round crenellated towers – private building.
The La Balmes, originally from Faucigny and Bugey, settled in Montchalin, the land from which they took their name in 1280. They had the present castle built in the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries, a castle which they kept until the end of the XNUMXth century.
Property of the Lombards and then of the Fleurieu in the 1998th century, it has belonged to Mr. Bertrand since XNUMX. The Château has largely retained its original appearance and charm.
