Eglise de Sermérieu

The old Romanesque church was replaced in the 1870s by a vast neo-Gothic building. The architect was Alfred Berruyer, a pupil of Viollet-le-Duc.
It is lit by large stained glass windows. On one of them, next to Saint-Sébastien (patron of the church, while the parish is placed under the title of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption) is Saint-Bruno, the order Carthusians who participated in its financing.
