L'Arche de Julie : ferme d’animation et de médiation par l’animal

Julie's Ark, a refuge and educational farm, welcomes rescued animals and offers visits in small groups, awareness and animal-assisted therapy for families as well as for people with disabilities.
Julie's Ark is a sanctuary and animal farm located in Vézeronce-Curtin, dedicated to caring for rescued animals and fostering bonds between humans and animals. The rescued animals live in an environment based on respect, kindness, and stability, promoting calm and genuine interactions.
The facility welcomes the public in a deliberately family-friendly setting, unlike traditional animal parks. Visits are conducted exclusively in small groups and by reservation, ensuring quality interaction. They offer an immersive experience in the heart of the animals' living spaces, with the opportunity to interact directly with them, get close, and better understand their history and needs. These encounters are designed for both families and children, fostering awareness of living beings and respect for animals.
During these workshops you will have the opportunity to:
– Discover the environment and the needs of animals
– Cuddle the animals
– Differentiate between species
– Take care of animals
– Interact with animals
- Feed the animals
– Walk the animals
– Communicate with animals
– Take short trips with the animals
– Maintain their environment
Julie's Ark also offers animal-assisted therapy, defined as an intentional interaction between humans and animals aimed at maintaining or improving physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being. This practice is based on a relationship between a trained professional, the individual being supported, and the animal. It addresses various areas such as motor skills, cognition, emotions, relationships, and mood.
Animal-assisted therapy facilitates communication, fosters engagement, and allows for a gentler, less confrontational approach to situations involving disability or vulnerability. Sessions are offered individually or in groups, for private individuals as well as for healthcare, social care, or educational institutions. Depending on the needs, the support can be provided by one or two professionals trained in animal-assisted therapy.
The interventions take place on the farm or can be organized directly in an establishment, at home or in a specialized structure, with animals selected from different species, depending on the objectives and the audiences supported.
Julie's Ark offers small-format visits designed for children aged 0 to 3, children with various disabilities, as well as senior citizens and people with reduced mobility. Lasting one hour, these discovery sessions focus on small animals and adapted routes, minimizing movement. Organized monthly, these visits are offered at a price of €5 per person.
