Lavoirs de Courtenay
Originally made up of very basic water reservoirs dug near streams, they were called "gabouillons" in the region.
The Courtenay wash houses are in the village and in Lancin, Tirieu, Poleyrieu, Boulieu and Le Broquet.
All washhouses are built on the same plan with a roof to protect the washerwomen from bad weather and the sun and to provide lighting, there is never a wall facing the worktop.
