8 washhouses are in place in the town. 4 are renovated: 3 of them are located in the hamlet of Gouvoux, the 4th is in the village.
Originally made up of very basic water reservoirs dug near streams, they were called "gabouillons" in the region.
All the wash houses are built on the same plan with a roof to protect the washerwomen from bad weather and the sun and to provide lighting, a wall never stands opposite the work surface.
