Lavoirs du Bouchage
Originally made up of very basic water reservoirs, dug near streams, they were called "gabouillons" in the region.
The Bouchage wash houses are located in Sous les Vernes, Mollard and Cessenoud.

Note: the washerwomen at Le Bouchage could wash their clothes directly in the Braille, a stone-free washhouse, each person had to bring their own board.
All the wash houses are built on the same plan with a roof to protect the washerwomen from bad weather and the sun and to provide lighting, a wall never stands opposite the work surface.
