A true digest of biodiversity, the Sensitive Natural Area of Charamel forms the boundary between the municipalities of Frontonas and Panossas.
The pond and the bog form an oasis for endangered fauna and flora.
The large peripheral reedbed is home to an exceptional diversity of marsh birds: reed warblers, reed buntings, purple herons, little bittern, etc.
On the outskirts of the bog, large sandy meadows form complementary biotopes for many species: egg-laying sites for the European pond turtle, burrows for European bee-eaters, etc.
By taking the municipal paths, you will be able to observe this mosaic of natural habitats which constitutes one of the most diversified natural sites of our department.
