14e Festival L'Isle en Scène : concert de CharlElie Couture
Saturday May 25 at 21:00 p.m.
With his new album “Contre toi” and his iconic tracks, meet this rock poet, this tireless creator, curious about the world around him. As a storyteller, CharlElie starts from the intimate to make it universal.b
Since CharlElie Couture is a man of words, let's talk numbers. His latest album “CONTRE TOI” is the 26th in his 45-year career.

He who wanted to become a film director has always been telling stories, with a keen sense of observation and empathy for people. We of course think of “The Ballad of Serge K” which opens “Poèmes rock” published in 1981, his 4th album which iTunes describes as “a major album of French rock”. It is also on this album that his biggest success to date appears "Comme un avion sans wings" "A song that says that even if others don't listen to you, continue what you have to do and that I I still have so much fun playing on stage.”
Like a triathlete, the native of Nancy chose not to choose between writing, music and the visual arts, putting as much wise passion into each creative act where beauty meets him. His paintings evolve over time – just like his discography – and exhibitions which take the form of retrospectives are frequently presented to the public.
Even if he staunchly and rightly defends that “Hidden treasures and rare pearls” and “Some essentials” are albums which certainly enhance his repertoire but are above all original albums, “CONTRE TOI” appears as the first album.
