Hôtel de Ville de Morestel

Before becoming the Town Hall, this building was a mansion with ten rooms on the ground floor and eight on the first floor.
By taking the deed of sale, it is possible to establish the history of the Town Hall of Morestel since 1850.
It was in 1949 that the administrative services were transferred to this building. They occupied the left side of the entrance. The secretary's quarters were upstairs.

The gardens of the Town Hall
Redesigned and restructured in 2004 during the renovation of the Town Hall, the gardens are intended to be a place open and used by the public. The layout is done in a painter's palette under about twenty pellets divided into trees, perennials, flowering plants or children's games.

The war memorial
In 1989, and in agreement with the associations of veterans, the war memorial was moved to the garden of the Town Hall, in order to allow the development of a roundabout (water jet).
This monument inaugurated on September 18, 1921 by Mr. Chanoz, (mayor at the time) in memory of the soldiers of the great war of 1914-1918, was formerly located in the Gare district.
