This stone-walled building was inhabited by three families of customs officers. Scattered across the land were outposts that were linked together by a thick thorn bush.
The elders of the town remember stories about this game of cat and mouse, which across the Rhône, the islands and the lônes, has added a few coins to the pockets of the inhabitants for several centuries.
