Who better than Chimène Badi could celebrate Edith Piaf 60 years after her death in 1963?
A personality with a powerful voice that is both strong and hypersensitive, a passion for beautiful words and melodies that stay in the head and the heart.

“Piaf I “knew” her very young, very very young, thanks to my mother. I think I was 3 or 4 years old when I got my first Edith tape.
Something's going on, I don't know what it is. I just know that she's doing something pretty crazy to me”.

20 years of career and Chimène is ready to take over the icon's cult repertoire. “It's a project I've wanted to do for a long time but I've always waited for the right moment.
I have experience and greater self-confidence, so many strengths that make me want to finally pay tribute to the one who guided me and taught me a lot. To sing Piaf is to take up a challenge… it is to immerse oneself in his texts, to understand happiness and euphoria but also suffering and pain.
When I sing Edith, I don't know why, there's something that
pierces, which myself makes me go elsewhere. It's passionate! »
Recently, her overwhelming encounter with Charles Dumont, composer of “No, I don’t regret anything”, “My God”… filled the dreams of the young Chimène.
In a theatrical setting, Chimène will perform the most iconic titles of Edith Piaf. A repertoire that has given French song its letters of nobility. On stage "Chimène Badi sings Piaf" there are a few dates in 2022 including the unique and symbolic piano/voice concert in Grasse, the city where Édith Piaf spent the last years of her life and died on September 17 in the framework of the “Grasse à Édith” Festival. And above all a big tour in 2023 and an Olympia on January 22.
Release of the first single and clip “Non je ne regrette rien” on September 16, 2022. Release of the album “Chimène sings Piaf” (Warner/Parlophone) on January 20, 2023.
