Burned in revenge in 1403, the Old Castle was restored. All that remains today of the original period is the large round tower from the XNUMXth century and the Chicken Tower.

This castle belonged to the family of Jacques Joffrey, the squire of the knight Bayard. The building changed and expanded over the centuries. With its rough stone walls, its high roofs, its various towers with romantic charm, the Château de Saint-Chef, more commonly called Château Teyssier de Savy, draws a picturesque silhouette in the old medieval village. It is located in a rural setting of 6,8 hectares where the sun plays with the shade of century-old lime trees.
