Instant découverte de la Maison Ravier
Wednesday July 10 at 15:30 a.m.
Discover the Maison Ravier, from its permanent collection to its temporary exhibition.
The permanent exhibition is dedicated to Auguste Ravier and François Guiguet, Jeanne Bardey
The permanent collection presents works by the artist Auguste Ravier. A chronological approach allows us to better understand the evolution of his conception of the landscape which announces the impressionist treatment of light. He continues the work of the great masters he admires: Turner and Delacroix, transcribing in its infinite variations the effects of light from dusk to dawn.
You can also see oils and drawings by François Guiguet (1860-1937), painter of intimate scenes and portraits of children in particular, and sculptures by Jeanne Bardey (1872-1954), Rodin's last student.
The temporary exhibition is dedicated to François Guiguet (1860-1937) and is entitled “From drawing to work”.
This exhibition explores the creative process of painter François Guiguet to compose his commissioned portraits. The works brought together come from both the museum and private collections, many of which have never been seen in public.
On the other hand, “fashionable portraits” offer you unique reconstructions of the clothes worn by the models created by the students of the Dressing class of the Diderot professional high school in Lyon. As part of the cultural season “Des habits et nous”, supported by the department of Isère.
