Since its creation in 2018, the greenway has become more and more popular with lovers of cool, windy hair, “The last to arrive at a pledge!”, digestive strolls… but also by aficionados of running or cycling (all-terrain)!
This secure route is ideal for your peace of mind and offers several “stopover” points to refuel and take well-deserved breaks. We love !
The green way, step by step:
Step 1: Crémieu
La medieval town of Crémieu is a must at the Balcons du Dauphiné! Hall, cloister, fortifications, typical alleys... Whether before your bike ride or after to stretch your legs, the wonder will be the same!
The starting point of the greenway is at the end of rue des Capucins, with a car park. And in a few pedal strokes, you find yourself in the historic center of the city which has several bicycle racks to leave your two wheels in complete safety.
Do not hesitate to come and pick up a visit plan free at the Tourist Office, on the Place de la Nation!

Step 2: Three
After a few kilometers of greenway through wooded areas where you can hear the sound of water, it's time to cross the roundabout of the emblematic restaurant of the Pretty Wood (be careful, reservation required several months in advance!). There will then follow passages under and over bridges, panoramas of the surrounding countryside until the arrival at the foot of the pretty village of Trept with a view of the Château de Serrières (private).
A welcome break with a view to hydrate and rest your legs!
Do not miss :
Stage 3: the ponds of the Serre
You have already arrived at the end of the end of the greenway, which has a nice surprise in store for you: the Sensitive Natural Area of the Ponds of the Greenhouse! A protected place where you can picnic and stretch your legs by the water...
To reach it, simply continue straight on at the junction between the Voie Verte and the ViaRhôna. You will pass in front of the small pond of Fongeau then under a point before arriving at your destination.
And for those who still want more, you can continue on the ViaRhôna! With the choice:
- towards Montagnieu/Lagnieu and The Blue Valley from the ponds of the Serre (it takes no less than 17km extra!)
- little backtrack to Morestel to visit our beautiful city of painters and its old town (8km away)
Because there is nothing better to discover a bike circuit than to live it as if you were there and to soak up the impressions of those who have taken it: here is an article that takes you on our steps… (or rather our wheels):
